After having spent the first two years of her life in Germany, Anita moved to Zimbabwe and in 2006 to Luanda, Angola. Anita’s artistic practice consists of exploration, the interaction and integration of the body with nature, the search for identity and place in the world, the interpretation and processing of feelings, and internal conflicts.

Together with artist, Wyssolela Moreira, Anita spent time in the edition ~ verso studio working on monotypes and exploring printmaking in relation to their residency period at LAPA.

“We believe our body of work is a testament to who we are as individuals, what we stand for and how that is reflected within our creations. We are confident in our skills, the language and techniques we have developed, and we believe that our passion, diligence and willingness to step out of our comfort zone will allow us as a duo to make the most of an experience like this residency that will influence our professional and individual growth.” -Anita & Wyssolela
